Local creative shop FiveSixSeven (formerly known as Refuel Network) will cease operations by end of the year, its founders said.
FiveSixSeven was founded by business partners Alex Lim, 46, and Chan Lee Shon, 57, in 2006.
The agency started its operations by managing projects for Eastern & Oriental Berhad. In 2008, it won Maybank corporate mandate and has been working on the account since then.
“We thoroughly enjoyed working with our two clients. The chemistry had been good and they have been very supportive of us. It’s a personal choice to retire and we’re planning to take a break, recharge and see the world,” Chan Lee Chon, told A+M.
Shon has been in the advertising industry for 11 years, where he was an executive creative director at Leo Burnett in 2009 and spent another five years as account director at O&M.
Lim, also worked as creative director at Leo Burnett and O&M.
Preparing for the transition, Maybank has shortlisted four agencies for its creative business to take over from FiveSixSeven.
