Integrated digital marketing agency, First Page has officially announced the launch of a search engine optimisation (SEO) traffic campaign with French sporting goods retailer, Decathlon. Under the campaign, First Page will be responsible for increasing organic, non-branded website traffic, focusing on relevant sports categories.

Based in Hong Kong, First Page is part of a global network of digital marketing agencies with offices in Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, the UAE, and Panama. Decathlon selected First Page as its SEO partner based on its ability to understand target audiences and the local Hong Kong market, as well as delivering business impact

The agency presented a proposal strategically designed to utilise Google Search to raise brand awareness and to drive quality traffic via SEO. First Page utilises a systematic approach to identify product categories, presenting opportunities to rank and drive first-page visibility that will greatly impact Decathlon’s bottom line.

Wendy Lau, eCommerce and web merchandising referent at Decathlon has already revealed the campaign is off to a strong start saying, “Results so far have been encouraging and we are looking forward to further generating the positive momentum towards traffic increases across our sports good categories”.

Maintaining over 1,500 stores spanning 57 countries staffed with 96,002 employees worldwide, Decathlon is a global industry leader. And in Hong Kong, its presence is strongly felt through the operations of its three stores, located in Causeway Bay, Mongkok, and Tseung Kwan O. Its overall mission being, “to make sports accessible to the many and provide an amazing 360’customer experience”.

The retailer has 70 sport goods categories and is in the process of expanding its market share across these categories to further solidify its position in Hong Kong. First Page will further support this ambition through digital content creation, onsite optimisation from a technical perspective, and continuous backlink profile optimisation.

“We are very excited to be working with Asia’s leading sportswear and goods retailer and look forward to supporting DECATHLON’s growth in Hong Kong,” said First Page general manager Hendrik Kühl.
