Hyatt Hotels Corporation recently opened Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, the first Grand Hyatt hotel in Malaysia.
The Grand Hyatt brand, one of seven brands under Hyatt Hotels Corporations, features large-scale, distinctive hotels in major gateway cities and resort destinations and Kuala Lumpur also being a key city in South East Asia, was a prime choice.
With it being located within the vicinity of the Petronas Twin Towers and right next to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the hotel will target its marketing efforts towards business and leisure travellers.
The hotel said that it is open to various advertising channels, keeping in mind that the message accurately represents the brand and reaches the right markets.
“Exposures will be targeted to the [hotel’s target] audience. If it’s an advertisement to promote the meeting and event facilities at the hotel, then publications that have the right distribution markets will be approached. A similar approach will be taken with exposures for food and beverage, leisure, rooms and events,” said Charis Choi, director of sales & marketing for Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur.
“We are new to Kuala Lumpur, marketing efforts are carried out to create the brand awareness by welcoming guests to experience the hotel and its facilities,” added Choi.
