FCB Kuala Lumpur grows creative team

FCB Kuala Lumpur is growing its creative team with five new hires joining the agency in October.

Associate creative director Gary Hor is the latest senior talent to join FCB Kuala Lumpur’s creative ranks.He has  over 17 years of experience across Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia with top-flight agencies McCann Erickson, JWT, Ogilvy, TBWA and most recently NagaDDB. Hor’s portfolio includes top brands such as Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Olympus, Panasonic, Renault, Volkswagen and Prudential.

Joining him from NagaDDB is also senior art director Gui Jiann Rong. A product of TBWA KL’s Young Bloods program, Gui has seen his star rise quickly thanks to an impressive stint at 180 China where he helped build the agency’s new integrated creative department, resulting in the agency winning JD.com, the second largest e-commerce brand in China.

Digital art director, James Voon started his journey in advertising by opening his own studio at the age of 19. He then moved to BBDO Malaysia. He has worked on clients such as KFC, Umobile, Smirnoff, M&Ms, Skittles, Pedigree and Whiskas. In addition to the senior trio are two young, energetic talents in the form of web designer Amy Low and copywriter Adelene Tan. Low had previously worked at BBDO and Tan’s last stint was with Leo Burnett Malaysia.

“All five epitomise the type of people we look for at FCB. Focused on the work, not the talk and are absolutely creative to the core. We’re ecstatic to have them on-board,”  Shaun Tay, managing director of FCB Kuala Lumpur siad.
