Abacus to sponsor Asian Tour until 2014
Swedish sportswear company, Abacus has become the official apparel partner of the Asian Tour, providing apparel for officials and staff members of the Asian Tour following a two and a half year agreement until the end of 2014. Abacus will also develop a collection specifically for the Asian Tour, which is the region’s elite professional golf circuit. Abacus will also leverage its brand across the Asian Tour’s worldwide media platforms that includes its website, and a global television platform.
ESPN STAR Sports launches Olympics Facebook App
ESPN STAR Sports has launched the “My Country, My Cheer” Facebook campaign, that allows sports fans to post words of encouragement for their country representatives at the London Olympics. It also provides a programme schedule for the games. Supporters can also stand win exclusive ESPN STAR Sports London 2012 prizes everyday for writing the most creative cheer. The application is available to users in Singapore, Malaysia and India. It was conceptualised and created jointly by Singapore-based Like Minds Consulting and India’s leading digital agency Webchutney.
StarHub thanks customers
Cable TV operator StarHub TV has embarked on a month-long entertainment spree to thank customers for their loyalty and support. StarHub will be offering a series of weekly free previews for a week starting 6 July onwards. The four free previews, each running for 100 hours, will be available from Friday 9am to the following Tuesday 1pm each week. The free previews will conclude in the National Day week where viewers can enjoy all the channels on StarHub TV free of charge for seven days.
