Lennon Group has appointed award-winning filmmaker and producer Quark Henares (pictured) as its chief of content and storytelling, signalling a deeper push into culture-led, narrative-driven brand work.

The appointment brings one of the Philippines’ most recognisable creative figures into the agency’s leadership, as it continues to expand its HumanKind Creativity proposition – an approach centred on building authentic, socially resonant connections between brands and audiences.

Henares, an Emmy-nominated storyteller, is widely known for his work across film, television, and streaming. His directing credits include Where is The Lie?, Rakenrol, Keka, and the TV5 cult series Rakista, while his producing portfolio spans some of the country’s most acclaimed titles, including Fan Girl, Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, and Gaya sa Pelikula. He also executive produced Leonor Will Never Die, which earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination, and the HBO Asia series On The Job, recognised with an Emmy nomination and the Venice Golden Cup.

Beyond filmmaking, Henares brings a hybrid creative-commercial background, having previously served as executive director overseeing studio businesses at Globe Telecom – including Globe Studios, ANIMA, and Secret Menu – and as head of originals, Philippines, for Amazon MGM Studios. He most recently worked in Singapore directing branded content such as Home Run: Singapore and co-founding consultancy SAYA.

In his new role, Henares will lead narrative development and oversee storytelling across Lennon Group’s campaigns, branded content, partnerships, and initiatives – embedding a more cinematic and culturally grounded approach into the agency’s output.

“Quark is one of the country’s most admired creative leaders. He’s a special kind of talent with the ability to create work that resonates with audiences and shapes culture, and that makes him the very best for this role,” said Raymund Sison, founder and CEO of Lennon Group. “And with his experience in film, streaming, and content, we’re excited to see how his creative leadership will impact the work we do for our brands, partners, and community.”

For Henares, the move reflects both a professional and personal alignment with the agency’s ethos.

“I have nothing but love and respect for Kim, Raymund, Rizza, and the Lennon Group, so I jumped at the opportunity to join such brilliant and wonderful people,” he said. “Also, with the world becoming what it is, I just want to work with decent people dedicated to making a difference, and that’s what Lennon is.”
