As business travel slowly begins to resume around the world, Expedia Group's Egencia has launched two new initiatives designed to help corporate travel managers succeed in their organisations: The enhanced Egencia Connect Community and a Corporate Travel Management training programme.
The new and enhanced Egencia Connect Community will offer travel managers programme guidance, networking and knowledge sharing with others in the field, access to experts and global travel alerts.
The Corporate Travel Management training, available as part of the Expedia Group Academy, will offer a series of courses for travel managers, teaching the fundamentals of business travel as well as advanced courses on budget strategies and leadership.
"2020 has fundamentally changed the travel manager’s role and scope. While cost and the traveller experience are still essential to corporate travel programmes, business travel is now a more far reaching challenge with new expectations that push the travel manager to prepare, plan, coordinate and constantly monitor progress," Mark Hollyhead, Egencia's chief operating officer & SVP of customer success, said in a release.
"With the Connect Community and Corporate Travel Management training as key steps, Egencia is committed to helping travel managers meet the challenges ahead."
The Egencia Connect Community is available in English and also offers dedicated discussion groups in both French and German. The Corporate Travel Management training is available immediately.
