Ahead of Spider-Man Day on 1 August and the theatrical release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Disney has brought its regional "World of webs" campaign to Malaysia with an immersive fan activation at Sunway Carnival Mall in Penang.
Running from 16 July to 2 August, the limited-time pop-up is the campaign's only stop in Malaysia and forms part of Disney's broader Southeast Asia push to build anticipation for the upcoming film, which premieres in cinemas on 30 July. By bringing Spider-Man into a physical retail environment, the campaign aims to deepen fan engagement beyond the cinema and create shared experiences for families and Marvel enthusiasts.

Inspired by Spider-Man, Miles Morales, Ghost-Spider and other fan-favourite characters, the experience invites visitors to become "Web-warriors", imagining themselves joining forces to protect the web connecting cities across Southeast Asia from Spider-Man's greatest villains. Fans can take part in carnival-style games, explore themed photo zones and enjoy a series of interactive activities designed for visitors of all ages.
Spider-Man himself will also make appearances during selected sessions, giving fans the chance to meet the friendly neighbourhood superhero in person. Meanwhile, visitors can browse an assortment of Spider-Man and Marvel-themed merchandise, including apparel, collectibles and other exclusive products available throughout the activation.

The pop-up also marks the first public appearance of the Honda ADV160 Spider-Man special edition. Styled with Spider-Man-inspired graphics and design details, the motorcycle pays homage to the superhero's enduring values of courage, responsibility and determination.
The Malaysian activation follows a similar experience in Singapore at Plaza Singapura, running from 25 July to 15 August. Also part of Disney's regional campaign, the Singapore pop-up features interactive games, themed photo opportunities, Spider-Man meet-and-greets, exclusive merchandise and a collaboration with Disney Cruise Line, extending the Marvel experience beyond the superhero franchise while continuing to build excitement for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
