Digital Commerce Intelligence, an AI-driven start-up that tracks real-time eCommerce performance for consumer goods, has promoted Bulent Kotan to the newly-created role of chief commercial and insights officer. Kotan was previously vice president strategic partnerships and commercial operations for seven months, according to his LinkedIn profile. Kotan will be reporting to Kyriakos Zannikos, Digital Commerce Intelligence's founder and CEO. In his new role, Kotan is tasked to accelerate and streamline solutions and services, incorporate insights reporting and custom data visualisation to further add value for MNCs and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) customers. In addition, Bulent will expand business development and strategic partnerships to achieve Digital Commerce Intelligence's growth. Bulent is currently leading a team of four.

Kotan has over 15 years of experience in leveraging data and analytics to advance FMCG sales. According to Zannikos, his ability to turn data into relevant and actionable insights to improve a brand's competitive advantage is the strongest asset he brings to the team.

Prior to joining Digital Commerce Intelligence, Kotan was with Johnson & Johnson, where he helmed various roles such as project director, advanced analytics/transformations/workday SaaS, program lead, global revenue growth management and advanced analytics, as well as commercial director, consumer goods and over-the-counter, according to his LinkedIn. Before that, Kotan was with Procter & Gamble (P&G) for four years and eleven months, where he was senior manager, customer business development, and finance manager.

"Data is one of the most valuable assets a company has. However, what's more valuable is the ability to turn data into relevant and actionable insights to improve a brand's competitive advantage. Digital Commerce Intelligence understands the needs to combine technology-driven operations with in-depth business knowledge. That is the reason why DCI can provide highly customisable solutions and services to its customers," Kotan said.

According to Zannikos, Kotan's appointment marks "an important milestone" in its pursuit to becoming Southeast Asia's "most advanced eCommerce intelligence platform". "Kotan brings tremendous international experience in FMCG omnichannel sales strategy and operations. With his leadership, I'm confident that Digital Commerce Intelligence will have one of the highest performing teams in commercial analytics and insights generation," Zannikos added.
