Digi's venture builder and innovation arm Digi-X has appointed Michelle Chin to the newly created role of head of growth marketing, focusing on driving more optimisation from a data-driven perspective, as well as increasing synergies across diverse functions within Digi-X and the overall marketing organisation within Digi.
"As Digi continues to innovate, grow and look at more ways to enhance the digital customer experience, Chin is taking on a new and expanded role as the head of growth marketing, to include more cross-functional collaboration between products, customer success and business development to support revenue goals through growth strategies. This is in addition to her current digital marketing responsibilities," Digi's spokesperson said.
Chin (pictured) has been with Digi-X for close to five years and was most recently its head of digital marketing for a year. She first joined the company in its business development team for the Digi-X's app reseller platform 57square.
She later rose up the ranks and took on roles including product manager and product lead. Prior to Digi-X, Chin was a business development associate at private investment group Marvelstone Group for close to a year, her LinkedIn said. She also has experience in journalism, having worked as editor-in-chief at FinTechAsia.
Digi-X is currently led by Kathryn Lee. Praveen Rajan was previously head of Digi-X and CDO before taking on the CMO role last September, replacing Loh Keh Jiat who left. Among the list of ventures Digi-X has built include iFleet, Omni and altHR. IFleet is a fleet management system that aims to empower companies to take control of productivity, efficiency and visibility of their fleet. Businesses that have worked with the company include Heineken, Sime Darby Industrial and Sarawak Energy.
Meanwhile, Omni is a virtual phone system that allows companies to run efficiently while on the move. Clients include Joey Mattress, RacunTech, MERCY Malaysia and TheLorry. AltHR is an all-in-one digital HR solution that seeks to simplify companies' HR processes from leave applications, expense claims, to employee data management.
