Omnicom Media (OM)'s managing director for Hong Kong Helen Cheung (pictured) will be departing the business at the end of August after four years, MARKETING-INTERACTIVE confirmed.
During her tenure, Cheung made significant contributions to OM's growth and talent development, earning the respect of colleagues across the business through her leadership, expertise, and commitment to excellence.
Cheung's extensive career spans over 30 years within Hong Kong’s dynamic media agency sector, encompassing progressively senior leadership roles at prominent organisations such as Zenith, Wavemaker, MEC, Maxus, and OMD.
Derek Yip, chief operating officer, OM Hong Kong: "Cheung has been a valued leader and colleague, and we're grateful for the impact she has made over the past four years. We thank her for her contributions and wish her every success in the future."
OM is currently recruiting for the role and looks forward to welcoming a new leader to build on the team's continued success.
Cheung’s departure comes amid a series of leadership movements within the group. Most recently, Omnicom Media Hong Kong appointed Samuel Ho as managing director of PHD Hong Kong and Doris Kuok as managing director of Hearts & Science, UM and Initiative.
The appointments reflect Omnicom Media Hong Kong's continued focus on developing leadership talent and driving growth across its agency brands. Ho has been with PHD Hong Kong for over seven years. Before that he had helmed senior roles at Wavemaker and Maxus Global. Under Ho's leadership, PHD Hong Kong has delivered strong business performance, and achieved record employee engagement and client satisfaction scores.
Kuok has played a key role in driving growth at Hearts & Science, strengthening client partnerships and championing data-driven innovation, while building high-performing teams across the organisation.
