DDB Group Philippines has appointed Vina Henson (pictured, left) and Chewy Chua (pictured, right) as its co-chief operating officers, effective 1 June 2025.
Both Henson and Chua will retain their current roles - Henson as managing director of DDB MNL, the hybrid creative agency she co-founded, and Chua as managing director of Agile Intelligence, DDB’s strategic data and analytics arm. Their elevation to group-wide operational leadership suggests a deeper ambition: to integrate creative and strategic disciplines more tightly across the network.
“As two of the agency’s long-standing leaders, they have been integral in shaping the work we’ve done and the culture we continue to build,” the company said in a post. “Their leadership reflects DDB’s commitment to a people-first approach and thoughtful collaboration, recognising that creativity thrives when individuals are supported, challenged, and seen.”

In their expanded remit, the duo is expected to drive the day-to-day operations of DDB Group Philippines while shaping its broader operational strategy. That includes streamlining collaboration across business units, sharpening process efficiencies, and embedding a more integrated approach to growth and innovation.
Henson brings over 30 years of experience in integrated marketing, including two decades within the DDB fold. At DDB MNL, she’s helped build a reputation for creative rigour and operational discipline, while growing client partnerships across various sectors.
Chua, on the other hand, has spent his 25-year career at the intersection of digital innovation and strategic intelligence. He played a foundational role in launching Tribal DDB back in 2008 and later went on to build Agile Intelligence - a centre that now fuels decision-making across multiple agency brands within the network.
DDB Group Philippines’ recent work includes a collaboration with the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) to encourage voter participation during the elections. Leveraging an AI-powered campaign, MAP and DDB seek to boost voter turnout by fostering a stronger sense of civic responsibility.
Besides said units, the group also comprises DDB PHL, Ripple8, Touch XDA, and Optimax. Earlier this year, LG Electronics appointed DDB as its social and digital communications agency to boost brand engagement and reinforce its market leadership in the country.
