DBS targets shoppers with OOH activation featuring Nathan Hartono cut out

DBS has launched an out-of-home (OOH) activation at Suntec City to encourage shoppers to download its DBS Lifestyle App through providing shoppers with surprise gifts and offers from participating brands and retail stores in the Suntec City vicinity.

The activation also sees a live version cardboard cut out of local singer Nathan Hartono touting and encouraging passer bys to join in the campaign which touts deals from over 200 brands.

In order to get the prize, a mobile user is required to scan the QR codes located on the gift boxes mounted on the wall through the DBS Lifestyle app. It will then prompt users to go to the participating store stated to redeem their gift or offer.

The campaign was conceptualised by Tribal Worldwide Singapore, with media agency Performics doing the media buy for DBS’ Christmas campaign.

Recently, DBS released a spot featuring Hartono in the Christmas campaign. The spot sees Hartono giving his two cents over a couple deliberating over gift ideas for loved ones.

Other aspects of the campaign include a Facebook Live Stream with Hartono and his fans which takes place on 13 December, along with six-sheet posters, print and TV activations island wide. It is set to conclude at the end of the month.
