Scania Malaysia has appointed Creative Juice to handle its marketing and communications following a three-way pitch.
A wholly owned subsidiary of Scania CV AB Sweden, the brand has been active Malaysia’s transportation industry since 1971.
The company is the sole distributor, importer and assembler of new Scania trucks and bus chassis in Malaysia. The brand also provides a range of customer services.
Ian Tan, marketing and communications manager for Scania Southeast Asia, said the pitch was part of a “stringent but progressive Scania procurement process” to select a business partner.
“The selected agency must be able to produce good quality work with cost-efficient resources. This is in line with Scania’s core values, its focus on working methods and dedicated employees and partners.”
Creative Juice has been tasked to help Scania provide the best profitability for its customers by delivering optimised heavy trucks and buses, engines and services.
The win comes off the back of changes to its senior ranks, with the appointment of Yee Hui Tsin as general manager, Judy Wong as business director and new creative director VJ Anand.
