In celebration of National Day, Coolblog is giving away 10,000 free full-size iced teh tarik (hand-pulled tea) drinks to customers who shout “I Love Malaysia” at selected outlets nationwide on 31 August 2025.
The homegrown dessert and beverage brand said the initiative is aimed at spreading joy and patriotism while commemorating Malaysia’s 68th Merdeka and Coolblog’s 20th anniversary.

The giveaway is part of the brand’s "20 tahun still cool" campaign, which runs from 25 August to 21 September. As part of the month-long celebration, customers can enjoy “Cool deals” such as a 20% discount on best-selling drinks and price tags of RM3, RM4, and RM5 on selected drinks and waffles with any purchase.
Adding to the festivities, a “Tear & Win” promotion from 1 to 21 September will reward customers who spend a minimum of RM15 with one of 200,000 instant prizes, including iPhones, an electric bike, 999.9 gold bars, and Coolblog vouchers.
“Affordability and flavour have always been at the heart of Coolblog,” said Sueli Lew, CEO of Coolblog Malaysia. “With this 20th anniversary, we’re making all-time hits like 'Strawberry cheese smoothies', 'Viral chocolate cheese', honeydew smoothies, and 'Unicool magical' even more affordable during this campaign — so more Malaysians can indulge in the drinks they love.”
Coolblog, which started with its first kiosk in Sutera Mall, Johor, in 2005, now operates over 300 outlets across the country. The brand said its growth has been driven by its focus on taste, variety, and value, making affordable treats accessible to Malaysians nationwide.
Other Malaysian F&B brands have also been ramping up their Merdeka campaigns. Homegrown Korean dining chain K Fry Urban Korean (K Fry) added a playful, icy twist to this year’s Merdeka celebrations with a limited-time menu, “Cool-lah Malaysia! Unity on ice". The seasonal menu reimagines Malaysia’s favourite flavours through the lens of K Fry’s signature Korean flair, delivering a chilled-out tribute to unity, culture, and togetherness.
Meanwhile, Tealive is also blending music and drinks together for its latest campaign. The local beverage chain has launched a limited-time durian drink series made with premium D24 durians, headlined by a durian-themed festival featuring Khairy Jamaluddin (KJ), the former cabinet minister turned popular podcaster.
