city’super introduces Japanese confectionery master's cakes and desserts

city’super has collaborated with Japanese pâtissier-chocolatier Hironobu Tsujiguchi and opened Super Sweets Gallery at its four stores at the Harbour City, ifc Mall, Times Square and New Town Plaza.Tsujiguchi is a renowned Japanese pâtissier-chocolatier with awards including the “Coupe de Monde de la Patisserie” - the Oscars of the pastry world, and “5 Chocolate Bars” equivalent to Michelin 3-stars.Super Sweets Gallery is Tsujiguchi's first international brand outside Japan. Located at the Harbour City, the flagship venue features a Japanese-style 12-seat café with the most comprehensive range of desserts introduced by Tsujiguchi, such as his signature cakes, roll-cakes, desserts, pastries, truffles and chocolates “with a French twist” that are popular worldwide. Highlights of the Chef’s signature specialties include top-selling Waraku Caromelier Tokyo Danish Caramelised, and Waraku Dassai Matcha Chocolate Truffles, which are sold more than 216,000 pieces (50,000 boxes) daily in Japan. Customers can join the tasting sessions by uploading a selfie of themselves at the pop-up or Super Sweets Gallery to their social media platforms. The debut comes with a series of creative and fun activities from 10 to 13 November, including a Super Sweets Chef’s Table, where city’super members can interact with the world-class patissier-chocolatier in a demonstration of dessert making; and the pop-up Super Sweets Studio invited one of the city’s top food instagrammers to share tips on how to get insta-worthy pictures with guests, which they can print on-site as souvenirs to commemorate the dessert experience. [caption id="attachment_241239" align="alignnone" width="700"] Super Sweets Gallery pop-up tasting bar at the Harbour City[/caption]
