Citybus has joined forces with Ngong Ping 360 to enrich Hong Kong’s tourism landscape by integrating its extensive public transport and city tour network with Ngong Ping 360's iconic cable car experience.

The partnership demonstrates Citybus and Ngong Ping 360's commitment to strengthening connections between citizens, tourists, and Hong Kong’s distinctive attractions through high-quality transport and sightseeing services, offering fresh opportunities for nature and cultural exploration while reinforcing Hong Kong’s status as a global tourism hub.

As part of the collaboration, a newly themed open-top bus has been launched, operating across five new routes, NP1 to NP5, on Lantau Island, connecting Ngong Ping 360 Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal, Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong Disneyland, and nearby hotels, fostering seamless synergy between major attractions and the Airport City.

Tourists can board directly from Hong Kong International Airport to access Ngong Ping 360 Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal, enjoying the breathtaking sights of Lantau Island. This collaboration aims to showcase the natural beauty of Lantau Island and the vibrant Airport City for both citizens and tourists.

The open-top bus also shuttles through Hong Kong Disneyland, and nearby hotels, providing tourists with a one-stop transport and sightseeing experience to Ngong Ping and the Aircraft Maintenance Area before their departure flights. The new service also encourages transit tourists to explore the city, supporting the development of the tourism industry.

To expand audience reach, Citybus has launched new tourism products that combine open-top bus and cable car, thereby enriching the experience for both mainland Chinese and overseas tourists.

A brand new sightseeing pass, "360 Lantau open-top bus with round trip cable car pass," offers 24 hours of unlimited rides on 360 Lantau open-top bus, a round-trip standard cabin cable car and access to Citybus Airport and Tung Chung routes or the “HK City Sightseeing” open-top bus routes on Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, priced at HK$445.

To encourage summer holiday visits to Lantau Island, the "360 Lantau open-top bus & citybus pass" is now available at a 34% off discount, priced at HK$100. This pass grants unlimited rides within 24 hours on the 360 Lantau open-top bus, as well as Citybus Airport and Tung Chung routes, providing convenient access to Lantau Island's major attractions. Available until 31 August, passengers can purchase on Citybus and Ngong Ping 360 online platforms and through appointed online travel agents.

William Chung, managing director of Citybus, said, “Citybus is honoured to partner with the esteemed Ngong Ping 360. Together, we are committed to nurturing the prosperous development of Hong Kong’s tourism industry. Our team has been actively forging partnerships with key stakeholders in Hong Kong’s tourism sector to deliver one-stop experience for travel, entertainment and shopping. This collaboration with Ngong Ping 360 is particularly significant, marking the expansion of Citybus’ open-top bus network to Lantau Island while bringing tourists’ experiences to a new height through Ngong Ping 360’s cable car."

"As the Airport City expands, we recognise its tremendous potential for future growth. We are prepared to welcome more tourists to Hong Kong with our premium services, leveraging Hong Kong’s unique position with strong ties to the motherland and global connectivity," Chung added.

James Tung, managing director of Ngong Ping 360, said, “Lantau Island is picturesque, with attractions such as the Aircraft Maintenance Area and Hong Kong Disneyland that are well worth visiting. The ‘360 Lantau open-top bus’ package, launched with Citybus, seamlessly connects major landmarks on Lantau Island with urban sightseeing spots. Whether tourists wish to enjoy city night views on a sightseeing bus or travel to the airport at the end of their journey, it can all be effortlessly arranged, eliminating the need for individual bookings. The Sightseeing Passes fully integrate Hong Kong’s tourism resources, offering tourists a more convenient and comprehensive travel experience."
