Carousell, one of the world’s largest and fastest growing mobile classified marketplace, has appointed 8 Mad as the branding and integrated marketing agency in Malaysia for 2017.
8 Mad will oversee the development and activation of an integrated campaign for Carousell across TV, radio, OOH and on-ground events. The campaign is aimed at growing Carousell’s presence in Malaysia.

As part of the integrated campaign for Carousell, 8 Mad’s creative team has launched a series of advertisements and creative productions based on the concept of #semuabolehduit (a play with words with the message everyone can make money, everyone can “do it”). This includes a pair of TV commercial parodies of the current Malaysia blockbuster movie, J Revolusi featuring its lead actor, Zul Ariffin.
8 Mad ’s other major key accounts include Malaysia’s leading wellness chain, HealthLand, property developer, Green Target Group and Malaysia’s leading dairy and food marketer, F&N Dairies. As of February 2017, 8 MAD Group’s integrated branding and marketing communications consultancy subsidiary, MAD Integrated, has secured approximately RM3 million in billings for the year, of which 50% are based on retainers. Together with renewals, Mad Integrated is now handling a stable number of 15 social media retainer accounts including Fisherman’s Friend, Nutox, Meiji and Nanowhite.
