Carat has been handed the media business for snack food conglomerate Mondelēz International, taking over duties from Mindshare.
The new partnership covers several regions including Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Japan, Malaysia and the United Kingdom. The agency will be tasked to manage the client’s media buying and planning activities for all the Mondelēz brands.
The appointment follows a multi-agency pitch back in February. Before that, Mondelēz media account was handled by Mindshare for years.
A source from Carat Hong Kong told Marketing the contract will run for one year. The agency has seen several account wins recently including German male shampoo brand Alpecin.
