Burger King Indonesia fires up brand strategy with Ogilvy's Neha Bansal

Burger King Indonesia has appointed Neha Bansal as head of brand, reporting to GM, marketing, Eugene Hong. Bansal (pictured) joins from Ogilvy Indonesia where she was group strategy director and head of partnerships. In her new role, Bansal leads the charge in taking the brand to new and greater heights. She will drive key strategic initiatives to continue the brand's awareness and top of mind and make Burger King the leading QSR in Indonesia that serves real ingredients.

Burger King’s brand and media operations were  previously headed by Tanushri Rastogi who recently joined Popeyes as marketing lead for Asia Pacific. Bansal takes over her role along with additional responsibilities such as innovations.

Bansal has been in the agency scene for a decade, working at Ogilvy, Grey, MullenLowe Group, and PHD. Among the various roles she has taken on include regional planning director for P&G and associate director, digital strategy for Unilever. She also worked as group head - content strategy, and senior planning manager, according to her LinkedIn.

Ogilvy's spokesperson told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that Bansal has done a phenomenal job, strategically leading some of its marquee relationships and also setting up and leading partnerships. "She leaves behind a solid team of partnership champions across domains. Bansal carries with her our best wishes as she embarks on a new journey," the spokesperson added. Chief strategy officer Ruby Sudoyo will oversee her portfolio while the agency hunts for a replacement.
