Bukalapak names new president

E-commerce website Bukalapak has appointed Fajrin Rasyid (pictured) as its new president, tasked with the responsibility for corporate strategy initiatives, long term plans and managing partnerships with external parties.Rasyid served as chief financial officer for seven years in Bukalapak and is also one of the co-founders of the company. Prior to joining Bukalapak, Rasyid worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group. Rasyid has been active in various international forums and was selected as Endeavor Entrepreneur in 2016. In addition, Rasyid has had the opportunity to share his experiences by being one of the speakers at Endeavor Scale-Up Asia 2018."I am grateful for all the achievements I have attained so far. But for me, being a person who brings benefits for others is more valuable than all of the achievements," Rasyid said. Rasyid is one of the candidates for the chairman of IDEA (Indonesia E-Commerce Association).According to Bukalapak, Rasyid's experiences in several business consultancy firm and Indonesia’s best e-commerce company, “makes him optimistic about his vision to make Indonesia the world's e-commerce axis”. “One of the missions that Rasyid will carry forward if he’s elected as the chairman of IDEA is to make e-commerce an accelerator of economic growth in Indonesia,” the statement added.
