Dentsu-owned digital company Cyber Communications has partnered with local agency Blugrapes to expand its offering to Japanese clients looking to reach ASEAN markets.
Takashi Hirai, general manager of social business development headquarters at CCI, said partnering with Blugrapes will enable the agency to strengthen its advertising and technology offering, including smart devices and social media.
Hirai said the support of Blugrapes will help CCI expand further into Asia and “launch powerful, focused social media campaigns” suited for the various local markets.
Blugrapes was not able to say which clients it would be handling, stating that discussions were on going.
Ryan Lim (pictured), business director at Blugrapes told Marketing the essence of the partnership is to help Japanese brands “understand, strategise and deploy” social media into the ASEAN region.
“In today’s social media landscape, building a close-knit engaged community via social media can be challenging. It is vital for companies to have intimate knowledge of their target audience in order to be able to connect with them at a personal level”, he said.
