Bench Media brought the media industry together last week for a 15km charity walk from Martin Place to Watsons Bay, raising more than $10,000 in support of Youth Off The Streets (YOTS).
More than 40 participants from Bench, UnLtd, YOTS and media partners joined the coastal trek, with funds directed to programs supporting young people experiencing homelessness, trauma or disadvantage.
Ori Gold, CEO of Bench Media, said the initiative reflected the company’s belief that “business success should go hand-in-hand with community impact.”
“Walking together as a team is our way of showing that when we unite for a cause, we can help create brighter futures for those who need it most,” he said.
Bench has supported YOTS for several years, with UnLtd helping expand the initiative’s reach. Kath Solly, impact account director at UnLtd, said the event is a "brilliant example of our industry using its energy and creativity for good, turning a team day out into a day of impact.”
YOTS CEO Judy Barraclough added: “We are so thankful for the generosity and support of Bench Media and UnLtd. Their collective efforts mean more young people will have access to safety, education, and opportunities to rewrite their stories.”
Donations remain open for another week through the fundraising portal.
