BBH has hired planning director Faraaz Marghoob (pictured) to head the agency’s strategic brand consultancy ZAG and to lead Planning on the UOB business. Before entering planning, Marghoob was a management consultant and tech entrepreneur, giving him an unusual world-view and set of skills.
Marghoob was most recently joint head of planning at Ogilvy Singapore, and also led IBM across the region. Previously based in the UK, Marghoob was planning director at Saatchi and Saatchi on the Toyota Europe business. Marghoob has also in the past run Meme, a digital agency, winning clients such as Playstation, Lenovo and SkyTV with launches for hit Television shows 24 and Lost. He took on the new role yesterday.
John Hadfield, CEO, BBH Asia Pacific said:
“Marghoob has a unique background and a wonderful mind. His passion for creativity, technology and consumer behaviour makes him a strategist of our times. I’m sure that he’ll be a huge success.”
“The thing the excites me most about BBH is their ability to nurture top-tier strategic relationships with clients. This arms the agency with that enviable mandate to produce strategically and creatively ambitious work, whatever the channel. I want to be part of that team,” Marghoob added.
