BBDO Indonesia wins PepsiCo business

PepsiCo has appointed BBDO Indonesia for its carbonated soft drinks (CSD) and food segments. BBDO will assume work on their Pepsi and Quaker brands, effective at the end of January 2015.

The win follows a two-way pitch against the incumbent agency, DDB.

“Indonesia has become a key market to win for PepsiCo,” said Cindy Gunawan, marketing director at Pepsico. “We are targeting to grow our business and shares, so we are looking for an agency partner who understands what is needed to support us in achieving our goals.”

“Having had a longstanding global relationship with BBDO, we are confident that the agency will leverage the network’s extensive knowledge and expertise and combine it with their understanding of the Indonesian market.”

Intan Mokhnar, managing director of BBDO and Proximity Indonesia, added, “We are starting off 2015 on a great note with this win. We have long wanted to win back Pepsico in our roster of multinational blue chip accounts and are looking forward to producing some great work with them.”
