Australian tourist organisation targets locals

Australian tourist organisation, Tourism Northern Territory has appointed AKA Asia to manage the public relations and social media channels for Singapore.

AKA’s role will include media relations, hosting press trips, consumer engagement and management of the Northern Territory Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts for fans based in Singapore.

Philip Haines, international marketing executive, Tourism Northern Territory said through the partnership it hopes to “cleverly creating brand awareness through integrated public relations.”

The tourism board hopes to target locals with the increase in low cost and premium air travel to Darwin from Singapore, making the destination more accessible.
