Ascenda partnership connects JD Coin with TransferConnect currency service

Loyalty solutions company Ascenda and JD Coin have inked a partnership – JD Coin will connect to TransferConnect, Ascenda’s loyalty currency exchange network. Starting from this month, over 40 million JD Coin members in China can exchange their coins for top airline and hotel loyalty rewards worldwide.The partnership will enable JD Coin to target China’s highly lucrative premium travel spenders by building out a extensive global rewards ecosystem while increasing the company’s global brand presence.“Our partnership with JD Coin gives us an ideal platform to launch our leading loyalty propositions and we will continue to work with them on new innovations in the future,” said Kyle Armstrong, Ascenda CEO. Armstrong added that the partnership will facilitate currency transfers and deliver aspirational travel experiences to its members.“This cooperation with Ascenda helps JD Coin to better achieve its goals of enabling user-centred and scene-oriented offerings and enriching the international travel rewards catalogue,” said a JD Coin official, according to a statement. JD Coin is a loyalty point exchange platform under JD Digits that allows its co-brand credit cardholders to earn coins that can be redeemed for a suite of rewards including products on JD.com. JD Coin stated that it aims to provide a better user experience and return on value through global travel loyalty programs.
