KrisShop has launched a new omnichannel loyalty programme called “KrisShopper”. Designed as a personalised programme, KrisShopper seeks to reward frequent shoppers for what they love by giving them access to a slew of benefits when they purchase on KrisShop.

A programme that spans four tiers based on qualifying spend, KrisShopper rewards members with more miles earned the higher the tier. Members can earn up to four KrisFlyer miles per S$1 eligible spend and double miles on their birthday month, enjoy complimentary services like shipping and gift wrapping, and gain early access to a range of perks from exclusive deals to new launches and promotions.

Chris Pok, chief executive of KrisShop, said over the eCommerce boom in the past two years, KrisShop has observed a shift in consumers’ online spending, with more leaning towards factors such as convenience, value and rewards to make purchase decisions.

“As an omnichannel retailer, it is crucial that we hold the attention of consumers in a fast-changing retail landscape, and KrisShopper is designed to help us do that. We want the programme to serve as a touchpoint for regular consumer pulse checks, giving us insight into the habits of our most frequent shoppers, and inspiring loyalty by not just giving these shoppers more of what they love, but rewarding them for their purchases,” he said.

KrisShopper members will be able to enjoy accelerated earn rates across all KrisShop channels, including KrisShop.com, KrisShop on KrisWorld and Singapore Airlines Group’s lifestyle app Kris+, as well as inflight purchases on Singapore Airlines. Spending across all channels will count towards qualifying spend.

KrisShop is an omnichannel retailer with products and content for consumers. Starting out as the inflight duty-free shop of Singapore Airlines, KrisShop has since evolved beyond the inflight catalogue with a flagship ecommerce and lifestyle portal, following a joint venture between Singapore Airlines, ground handler SATS, and duty-free retailer 3Sixty (previously DFASS Group) in November 2018.

Unfortunately, in March this year,  KrisShop suffered a data breach, which affected the personal information of 4,749 KrisShop customers. This included names, email addresses, residential addresses, contact numbers and KrisShop e-voucher numbers. The data breach came after a phishing attack on 8 March, by an unknown party, that targeted a KrisShop employee account. The breach was an isolated incident that came about due to human error, said KrisShop following a review of its systems and processes.

In 2021, Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Singapore Airlines’ flagship retailer, KrisShop, entered into a three-year partnership to jointly market home-grown brands and grow their eCommerce reach. Under the partnership, content will be co-developed to profile local brands on KrisShop.com and highlight the vibrancy of Singapore’s retail scene. In the first phase, STB and KrisShop will launch a domestic campaign to raise awareness of local brands and grow demand for their products.
