App for checking your pee
share on
Though yet to officially debut on iTunes, uChek is an app that can test your pee.Developed by 29-year-old entrepreneur Myshin Ingawale, the programme aims to cut down visits to physicians – for diabetics or patients suffering from problems with their liver or kidney, for example. Users have to dip a test strip in their urine, align it on a special map and take a photo. The app will then associate specific colour changes to certain bodily information such as protein and glucose levels, put it into a personal record and compare it to general trends. To date, uChek can analyse up to 10 parameters - depending on the strip used - and detect up to 25 diseases based on these parameters; it can also diagnose diaeses like diabetes and urinary tract infection. An Android version will come out soon.
