ANZ tipped to shortlist two

At least two agencies in the region are believed to have been shortlisted for the ongoing ANZ global media review.Carat, the incumbent agency as well as PHD are now vying for the biz, according to sources.When contacted ANZ declined to comment saying the media agency pitch is progressing well with an outcome expected early next year."At this stage we're not disclosing a short list publicly," the statement said.According to Nielsen, ANZ was the 25th biggest advertiser in 2010 with an estimated main media spend of US$55.6 million.ANZ, one of Australia's biggest banking groups, has set its sights firmly on Asia, a market it hopes will contribute 20% to its bottom line by 2012.
