Alibaba hires former Uber HK and Tencent comms directors

Katie Lee, former head of communications of Uber Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan has taken the role at e-commerce giant Alibaba Group as corporate affairs director where she manages its international PR in Asia.Prior to the role, Lee was with Chinese e-commerce site JD.com. During her tenure of director of international communications, she managed and supported international communications programmes for the company.Lee has over 15 years of experience in public relations, corporate and marketing communications with a mixed background from agencies and in-house positions.Meanwhile, Tencent's former director of global communications Jowie Law joined Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, in early 2018 after more than three years with Tencent.
