Alibaba appoints international corporate communications head

Jennifer Kuperman has been promoted to head of international corporate communications at Alibaba. She will replace Jim Wilkinson, the current head of international corporate affairs, who will be leaving Alibaba to start a new entrepreneurial venture.Kuperman joined the company in 2014 and currently serves as vice president, head of strategy for international corporate affairs to lead Alibaba's global communications strategy and execution.Prior to Alibaba, she was senior vice president and head of corporate marketing and reputation at Visa, and also previously served as the chief of staff to Visa’s CEO. Kuperman began her career as a management consultant with Accenture.In her new role, Kuperman will report to Alibaba's executive vice chairman Joseph Tsai.“Jennifer has proven herself to be a tremendous leader at Alibaba and we highly value her skills and judgment,” said Joe Tsai, “I look forward to working closely with Jennifer as we continue to globalise our company and enter the next phase of the company’s growth.”
