Airmedia looks to make Singapore its SEA hub

Leading OOH operator in China, Airmedia, which launched in Singapore six months ago, is looking to make Singapore its regional hub in SEA.

In a conversation with Marketing, a spokesperson said it aims to introduce and lead advertisers to its platforms in China. It is also looking to expand its frontline staff to take care of clients of different countries within SEA. In Singapore, Airmedia is looking to work with agencies whose clients are looking to break into the Chinese market and are regional.

“We do have existing clients in Singapore and within SEA prior to the opening of our Singapore office. Basically we spent these past few months preparing and linking up with our existing clients and also to let them know that we are now closer to them,” said the spokesperson.

Currently it is also forming its management team that consist of four senior staff. The Singapore office is being lead by CEO Ellen Guo.

Airmedia claims to cover over 95% market shares in the aviation media. It has inflight media on seven major airlines covering 2300 flights, international and domestic. These include Air China, China Southern, China Eastern, Shanghai Air, HNA, Shenzhen Air and OKAir. It has over 30,000 OOH spaces at sinopec gas stations in China.
