AirAsia Bhd is warning consumers on a online scam that is making its rounds via social media stating that the airline is offering free flights in exchange of a survey on customer experience.
On its Facebook page, AirAsia said in response to consumer queries:
“We would like to clarify that this survey is not conducted by us or any of our affiliates, and confirm that this is a scam which uses the AirAsia brand without authorisation. We advise the public to disregard such invitations and AirAsia shall not be held liable for any claims pertaining to the false scheme.”
The airline has lodged a police report to take legal action against the creators of the survey.
“AirAsia would like to once again reiterate that it does not enlist third party services in organising activities and any announcements are made via official channels such as credible mass media and our official social media channels at all times. We will not hesitate to take legal action against individuals or groups who organise illegal schemes using the AirAsia brand,” said the spokesperson.
