AIG partners MyEG to expand offerings

Malaysia - American International Group (AIG) has formed a strategic partnership with MyEG Services (MyEG), a leading government-to-citizen e-services provider.The partnership aims to offer Malaysians various general insurance products through MyEG's online and direct marketing platforms with easier and convenient access to purchase insurance coverage in a secured online environment.Matt Harris (pictured right), chief executive officer of AIG Malaysia, says the partnership is a strategic move that provides AIG with an innovative distribution platform and enables MyEG website visitors to purchase insurance in a quick manner.Under the partnership, auto insurance will be the first to be offered with plans to include other coverage such as home contents insurance, personal accident and health products, which will be available online and through telemarketing activities.Harris added that MyEG customers will benefit from AIG's award-winning auto insurance claims service and the company's commitment to delivering its promise to Malaysians in their time of need.To Wong Thean Soon (left), group managing director of MyEG, the partnership is another innovative step in providing local consumers with choices and convenience through the online platform.MyEG is set to embark on several promotional campaigns this year, including a contest to win an all-expenses paid trip for two to New Zealand and an opportunity to watch the New Zealand All Blacks Rugby Team, of which AIG is the major global sponsor and official insurance partner.
