Agoda unveils 4,000-strong Bangkok tech hub to drive regional innovation

Agoda has expanded its investment in Asia-Pacific with the launch of a new regional technology hub in Bangkok, consolidating nearly 4,000 employees into a purpose-built campus designed to accelerate innovation and talent retention.

Located within One Bangkok, the seven-floor, 26,000-square-metre office marks the company’s first relocation in Thailand in two decades – and positions the travel platform as an anchor tenant in one of the city’s largest integrated developments.

The move reflects a broader strategic push by Agoda, part of Booking Holdings, to deepen its regional footprint while reinforcing Asia’s growing role as a global technology hub.

Designed as a campus-style workspace, the new office brings together Agoda’s teams under one roof, supporting functions from tech and innovation to regional business operations. The layout prioritises speed, coordination, and real-time operations, with dedicated infrastructure such as a Network Operations Centre (NOC), war rooms, and content production studios.

The space also integrates collaboration zones, wellness facilities, and creative environments – reflecting a growing shift among tech companies to design offices that double as both innovation engines and employer branding tools.

“We’re excited to open this new space at One Bangkok designed to support how our teams innovate, collaborate and grow. The state-of-the-art facilities reflect our investment in creating an environment where people can do their best work and continue building world-class tech that delivers exceptional travel experiences,” said Omri Morgenshtern, CEO of Agoda.

Beyond function, the office is positioned as a physical manifestation of Agoda’s brand and culture. Each floor carries a distinct thematic identity – from “Ancient” and “Modern Masterpieces” to “Tropical Forest” and “Snowy Mountain” – blending global inspiration with local context.

Art and design play a central role, with large-scale murals from both Thai and international artists embedded throughout the workspace. The inclusion of creative studios, podcast rooms, and visual production spaces also signals Agoda’s increasing investment in content capabilities – an area becoming critical for travel platforms competing on experience, not just price.

At the centre of the campus sits a café concept built around the idea of “bridging the world”, a nod to Agoda’s founding proposition and its role in connecting travellers across markets.

The relocation comes as Southeast Asia’s tech ecosystem continues to decentralise beyond traditional hubs. By maintaining its headquarters in Singapore while scaling operations in Bangkok, Agoda is effectively operating a dual-hub strategy – balancing global coordination with regional depth.

The choice of One Bangkok also reflects increasing alignment between corporate occupiers and large-scale urban developments that prioritise sustainability and digital infrastructure. The district holds LEED Platinum certification and integrates smart building technologies, alongside direct access to the city’s mass transit systems.

The digital travel platform, which offers over 6 million holiday properties, more than 130,000 flight routes and over 300,000 activities, employs more than 7,000 staff globally.
