The first AEON STYLE Supermarket in the Klang Valley blends fresh food, smart retail technology and quick-meal solutions to meet modern shopper needs.

AEON has officially unveiled its new AEON STYLE Supermarket at Setia EcoHill, Semenyih, bringing a more modern, efficient and lifestyle-focused grocery concept closer to neighbourhood shoppers.

Designed for everyday convenience, the 20,408 square foot supermarket is located within Setia EcoHill Mall, a 280,000 square foot neighbourhood lifestyle destination with approximately 2,000 parking bays. Together with Setia EcoHill Taipan, the area forms a vibrant commercial hub serving the growing Semenyih community.

The opening was officiated by Rohaizi, alongside Koh and Okada.

At the heart of the AEON STYLE Supermarket is an enhanced fresh-food experience paired with a thoughtful store design. Shoppers can browse a wide assortment of fresh produce, premium fillet cuts and seasonal seafood, alongside an expanded ready-to-eat offering for those looking for quick and wholesome meal options without compromising on quality.

Speaking at the launch, Okada said the new concept reflected evolving consumer expectations.

“AEON STYLE Supermarket is designed to make grocery shopping more enjoyable and convenient. From fresh food to smart technology, this store represents how we are transforming our retail experience to better fit modern lifestyles, while continuing to serve the needs of the local community,” he said.

Convenience has been further enhanced through the integration of smart retail technology, including smart trolleys, self-checkout counters, an AI weighing machine and an avocado scanner, allowing shoppers to move through the store more seamlessly.

Customers can also enjoy Foodpanda delivery, myAEON2go Click & Collect, and an upcoming pre-order feature, which enables advance reservations of selected products and meals for guaranteed freshness upon pick-up.

Meng noted the supermarket complements Setia EcoHill’s community-focused vision.

“Having AEON STYLE Supermarket at Setia EcoHill Mall enhances everyday living for our residents. It aligns with our goal of building sustainable, well-planned townships that offer practical amenities and meaningful convenience,” he said.

The opening of AEON STYLE Supermarket Setia EcoHill marks another step in its broader retail transformation, with more outlets under the AEON STYLE format planned nationwide as the brand continues to refresh its store concepts and expand access for Malaysian consumers.

In conjunction with the opening, the Malaysian AEON Foundation reinforced its commitment to giving back by contributing RM30,000 to three charitable organisations – Rumah Keluarga Kami (Yayasan Ozanam), Rumah Bakti Nur Ain, and Rumah Anak Yatim Kajang Perdana (Love Orphanage).
