72andSunny SG hands Ida Siow president role

72andSunny Singapore has appointed Ida Siow to the role of president leading the Singapore office. She previously helmed the role of executive strategy director when she joined the agency in 2019. Siow has over 15 years experience in major networks across the world. She spent time in BBH London, Ogilvy Shanghai and J. Walter Thomspson (now Wunderman Thompson) where she was head of planning for Singapore and Southeast Asia, before joining 72andSunny two years ago.

72andSunny APAC CEO Chris Kay said, “Siow’s commercial smarts and entrepreneurial drive matched with a high creative bar and desire to win for client partners’ businesses made it a natural decision for her to step into this role. Ida represents a new breed of modern creative leader in the region and we are super excited to see what she will do.”

APAC ECD Johnny Tan added: “To build a creative company of the future, no one’s better to be at the helm than Ida. She’s a bad ass! A pretty rare breed and a great partner.”

At 72andSunny, Siow partnered Asian unicorns such as Grab and Carousell and global giants such as adidas and AB Inbev. Over the last six months, she drove new wins and roster appointments that include GIC, NTUC Link, Lazada, beIN Sports and Facebook for Business.

Last year, 72andSunny Singapore was awarded Silver for Brand and Design Consultancy of the Year by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE. “It is my privilege to work with and lead the bunch of incredibly inspiring modern thinkers and creators who call 72andSunny home,’” said Siow. “We are high tempo high collaboration challengers, and we’re looking for more of our kind as we hit the ground running this year.”

In November 2020, the creative agency designed a limited edition collection of "Good Riddance 2020" merchandise, to mark the passing of a dismal year. The playful logo expresses how Singaporeans and most of the world feel about this year, with a wry eye roll incorporated into the "Good Riddance 2020" design.

The initiative was conceptualised as a passion project by the 72andSunny team, and the collection includes a special twin-set of craft beers brewed in collaboration with local brewery The 1925 Brewing Co. The "Good Riddance 2020" Dark Ale features a design depicting the dark happenings of the year, while the "Great Expectations 2021" Champagne-inspired Lager is a bubblier concoction with a label anticipating brighter things ahead.
