7-Eleven HK redefines convenience retail with new concept store
share on
7-Eleven has opened its new concept store in Causeway Bay, moving beyond traditional designs and focusing on customer experience through three pillars: innovative retail design, digital-first technology, and a diverse fresh food experience.
This concept store aligns with 7-Eleven’s journey toward shaping the next generation of convenience retail, according to the release. With sleek, contemporary design, smart technologies, and distinctive fresh food options tailored to Hong Kong’s ready-to-eat culture, the store aims to redefine convenience as a unique and engaging experience.
Located in bustling Causeway Bay, the concept store offers more than quick shopping; it’s a place to pause, recharge, and catch up with friends, providing a haven to escape the city’s fast pace. 7-Eleven has reimagined the traditional convenience store interior, creating a fresh and inviting space. Inspired by local icons such as the Star Ferry and trams, the store features green - central to Hong Kong life and 7-Eleven’s identity - as its primary palette. Various shades of green, combined with soft lighting and natural daylight, foster a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Moreover, shelves are set at diagonal angles rather than in straight rows, adding visual depth and a sense of spaciousness. This thoughtful layout seeks to encourage customers to browse, discover new products, and enjoy small moments of joy in everyday life.

Outside the store, 7-Eleven has replaced traditional shopfront windows with multi-purpose transparent display screens. These screens provide real-time updates on the date, time, weather, and next-day forecasts - and even suggest products based on changing weather conditions. This blend of service and digital innovation enhances the store’s appeal and creates a visual identity that draws customers inside.
Inside, dynamic digital screens feature the latest promotions and menu updates from 7CAFÉ and Tsat Jai Sik Dong (7仔食檔) with lively, animated content, further elevating the overall shopping experience. To better serve 7-Eleven App users, the store has also expanded its EasyCollect (到店自取) zone, allowing customers to enjoy seamless, queue-free shopping and convenient pick-up at any time of day.

While 7-Eleven recognises that today’s customers seek not only convenience but also freshness and unique food experiences, its brand, Tsat Jai Sik Dong, has unveiled a larger, advanced hot food counter featuring beloved Hong Kong classics such as siu mai, fish balls, and milk tea, along with exclusive new items available only at this location.
For the first time, Tsat Jai Sik Dong has partnered with local brand Master Ngan (奀師傅) to introduce exclusive crossover dishes such as minced pork stirred noodles and satay beef tripe stirred noodles. The store also features a new made-to-order Hong Kong-style delicacies series, serving freshly prepared local favourites such as pistachio-flavoured Hong Kong-style egg waffle and hazelnut cocoa flavoured Hong Kong-style egg waffle.
Meanwhile, 7-Eleven has incorporated sustainability efforts into the concept store. In recent years, both 7CAFÉ and Tsat Jai Sik Dong have introduced various eco-friendly tableware, replacing plastic with more sustainable materials wherever possible. The concept store has also incorporated sustainable elements, featuring eco-friendly tables made from 14,876 recycled wooden chopsticks, effectively reducing carbon emissions by approximately 724 kgCO₂e. By introducing these sustainable tables, the store hopes to encourage customers to slow down and enjoy their meals amid the city’s fast pace, while also raising awareness of environmental protection and demonstrating 7-Eleven’s commitment to sustainability.
