7-Eleven and BeCandle unveil exclusive Sanrio character perfume blind boxes

7-Eleven Hong Kong has partnered with premium local fragrance brand BeCandle to launch a blind-box perfume collection featuring eight beloved Sanrio characters.

The “Unbox your perfume” collection is designed to offer a unique scent experience, with each perfume crafted in Hong Kong using layered notes. Customers can mix and match different scents to suit their mood, style, or the festive season.

Officially launched at 7-Eleven on 19 November, the collection features eight Sanrio characters: Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Hangyodon, Kiki and Lala from Little Twin Stars, My Melody, Kuromi, and Kerokerokeroppi. Additionally, the collection includes a mystery Cinnamoroll in a dazzling 3D design with a fully transparent finish and a hint of sparkling gold shimmer, which has only a 2% chance of being revealed.

The full collection includes nine 3D Sanrio character perfume bottles and nine 30ml BeCandle fragrances, each featuring a hidden surprise edition. Available exclusively in a double-blind box format, each redemption allows customers to open two boxes: one containing a mystery 3D perfume bottle and the other featuring a surprise BeCandle scent.

Once customers have collected their favorite bottles and perfumes, they can use the included funnel to fill their chosen scent into the bottle, creating their own pairing. This allows for a personal touch, whether for a loved one or themselves, reflecting their unique personality and style.

The bottle design features eight Sanrio characters transformed into 3D perfume bottle caps. Each cap is crafted with a diamond-faceted design and a translucent finish, adding elegance and sparkle. The glass bottle is adorned with character art that captures Sanrio’s playful charm.

Furthermore, BeCandle has developed nine exclusive scents for 7-Eleven, including floral, fruity, woody, sandalwood, citrus, and ocean notes. This variety caters to different personalities and styles, whether customers prefer sweet and playful fragrances, fresh and gender-neutral options, or bolder, more masculine scents.

Meanwhile, the hidden fragrance – BeCandle’s “Always fun” – is inspired by the signature colours of 7- Eleven. Bursting with neroli, tuberose, and lime, it’s a bright floral-fruity blend that evokes the lively energy of the city with a fresh, modern twist.

Back in September, 7-Eleven Hong Kong partnered with Foodlink Foundation and local social enterprise New Life Farm, to turn used 7CAFÉ coffee grounds into fertiliser to cultivate fresh, seasonal vegetables at New Life Farm.

These vegetables have been crafted into two new 7-SELECT juices – cucumber kiwifruit apple and beetroot apple. The new 7-SELECT juices are available from 10 September at physical stores across Hong Kong.
