1-Altitude Rooftop Bar will cease its operations on 31 March after 12 years. 1-Altitude broke the news in a post on its Facebook and Instagram channels. "The 1-Altitude family has been working tirelessly over these past years and sincerely appreciate our loyal and precious customers and suppliers who have made countless memories with us over the years," the post said.
At the same time, 1-Altitude also hinted at the opening of 1-Arden, a brand new concept by parent company 1-Group. The image accompanying the post said, "As one door closes at the end of March, another 'one' opens."

While no further details have been released, a quick search on 1-Altitude's website by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE showed that 1-Arden is said to be an iconic lifestyle F&B destination. Fans who attended the 1-Arden Sampling Fair last December were given a preview of the new venue as well. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to 1-Group for comment. Aside from 1 Altitude, 1-Group also manages Bee's Knees, Botanico, Monti, Stellar, FLNT, and Zorba the Greek Taverna.
Separately, F&B company Synergyinthesky, which ran 1-Altitude, has been charged with workplace safety lapses linked to a security officer's death. OUB Centre, which is the occupier of the rooftop and A&P Maintenance Services were also charged alongside 1-Altitude. According to CNA, the charges come after the security officer fell into a 4-metre-deep gondola pit on the second floor of 1-Altitude in June 2019.
Synergyinthesky was charged with failing to take measures necessary to ensure the health and safety of its employees at work, including failing to adequately consider the hazards created by the floor opening of a gondola pit and implementing relevant risk control measures, as well as failing to establish and implement safe work procedures for its security officers. CEO and MD Ong Han Peng was also charged under the Workplace Safety and Health Act for failing to take necessary measures to ensure the safety and health of his employees at work, CNA reported.
