Zurich MY cares about your future with new campaign

Insurance group Zurich Malaysia has released a brand film and will be holding a wellness carnival this month as part of its “Care for what matters” campaign. Through the campaign, the brand aims to highlight its commitment to be responsible for what matters to its consumers.

The brand film begins with a question about what one sees for their future as it introduces the audience to various individuals across different generations. As these individuals choose to spend time with their family, go on a road trip or open a boutique, Zurich Malaysia reinforces that whatever future one envisions, it will be there to care for it through its family, home and business protection plans to name a few.

The film was created in collaboration with Initiative Studios, the media-fuelled creative content practice within the IPG Mediabrands network. To expand its reach, the campaign will span OOH assets, radio advertisements, social media engagement and media ad buys, according to Junior Cho, country CEO and head of  Zurich Malaysia in a conversation with A+M.

From 22 to 24 September 2023, Zurich Malaysia will also be holding its "Karnival kita OK" (We are OK carnival), at Central Market. The event will feature workshops and booths by local sellers and organisations that promote the importance of supporting one another. Booths at the carnival include clothing, accessories and food.

When asked why it was important to have an immersive experience for the campaign, Cho explained that Zurich Malaysia aims to have direct, immediate and engaging touchpoints with the public. Coupled with the culturally significant location of Central Market, the carnival allows for a more personal, sincere and genuine interaction.

"We firmly believe that our actions today pave the way for a brighter tomorrow. The 'Care for what matters' brand campaign is an extension of our ongoing efforts to support and care for people from all walks of life,” said Cho.

“It signifies our determination to create a brighter future for Malaysians that is not only financially secure but also socially and environmentally responsible,” Cho added.

Visitors of “Karnival kita OK!” will get to experience a photo exhibition that showcases the brand’s forest conservation and restoration project, Zurich Cares. The project aims to protect the key endangered tree species in Merisuli Sabah and save them from extinction.

Zurich Malaysia is also putting into motion its plans to be an organisation that is committed to the planet as it has launched the Urban Climate Resilience Program. The program includes a three-year collaboration with the Z Zurich Foundation and appointed global partners such as the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group (C40), Resilient Cities Network (R-Cities) and Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah (MBMB).

“Being a historic city with UNESCO World Heritage status, we recognise the importance of building community resilience to carry our cultural heritage forward in the face of climate challenges,” said Shadan Haji Othman, Melaka’s mayor. “Thus, it is with great enthusiasm that the City of Melaka is joining the new Urban Climate Resilience Programme.”
