ZOO group hires O&M's managing director to launch Singapore office

ZOO group has opened its offices in Singapore and appointed Shirley Tay to lead the agency as managing director and partner.Tay (pictured), was last managing director at Ogilvy & Mather and will be leaving the role at the end of the week. She held the role of MD at Ogilvy & Mather for over two years. She has been with the agency for over 15 years holding various roles.Meanwhile, ZOO Singapore is ZOO group’s fifth creative agency and its first outfit in Southeast Asia. It has offices in Auckland, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney.Tay said, “It was a difficult decision. However, I am very excited by the opportunity to build, shape and create something that truly adds value to the clients businesses and the people that I work with. It is back to the fundamentals of keeping it simple, giving clients the assurance to navigate and stand out in today’s complex environment. It is going to be daunting and challenging to start from ground zero but at the same time fulfilling."Pawl Cubbin, ZOO group CEO,said, “We are passionate about developing a strong, global independent network, and we know that attracting the best and brightest people in each region is crucial. Singapore is the right place for us extend our network outside of Australasia, and with Tay onboard we’re confident that it’s the right time.”
