Chery Australia has named Zeno Australia to lead its communications strategy as the automotive brand accelerates growth in the local market.
Zeno will spearhead strategic communications to elevate Chery’s brand profile through earned-first storytelling, media engagement, executive visibility and brand experiences. The appointment follows a strong period of growth for Chery, which recorded a 216% year-on-year sales increase in Australia.
Founded in 1997, Chery’s global reach spans more than 80 countries, with some 15 million vehicles sold worldwide. The automaker operates 14 production facilities and employs more than 5,500 R&D staff across Europe, the US and China. Australia is considered a key market for its international expansion.
“We are delighted to appoint Zeno Group as our communications partner as we continue to expand Chery’s presence in Australia,” Lucas Harris, chief operating officer at Chery Motors Australia said. “Zeno’s passion for our business, along with the team’s creative thinking and insightful strategic approach, shone throughout the process. This is going to be a significant year for us. With a range of new energy vehicles to be launched shortly, Chery is well-positioned for continued growth throughout 2025.”
Sarah Littlefair, managing director of Zeno Group Australia, said Chery has bold ambitions for the Australian market. "The opportunity to help accelerate Chery’s local profile through a creative, earned-first approach is incredibly exciting for our team.”
Zeno Australia’s growth continues with recent wins and expanded scopes across brands including Gorilla Glue, Shokz, Lenovo, Motorola and Yorkshire Tea.
