
Former Zenith team rebrands to Invictus Blue, mutually parts from Publicis

Zenith’s Malaysia has moved from being a franchise solution into a Publicis Groupe operation. Meanwhile, the previous Zenith has been re-branded Invictus Blue retaining the same company number, staff and clients.Invictus Blue is an independent brand with strategic partnerships globally. Headquarted in Kuala Lumpur, according to sources, the agency was created to rethink and reconfigure the way agencies operate. A+M understands that the agency will look to create partnerships with data companies, deep tech solutions and management consultancies and strategic marketing companies to enable growth for its clients.David Soo (pictured right) will continue to lead Invictus Blue as managing director. He had been holding the MD position at Zenith over a year and will carry on reporting to Gerald Miranda, CEO of Invictus blue, A+M understands. Soo was the former MD of Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid and the role was then, a newly created one by the agency. While under the Zenith brand, he worked with its range of clients such as BMW, Qatar Airways, Bridgestone, PETRONAS and Clarins.Meanwhile, Andrew Leong (pictured left) will continue as growth officer for media in Publicis Groupe, based in Malaysia. In a statement to A+M, a spokesperson from Publicis Groupe said that the rebrand was the "cessation of the franchise agreement" and that the agency is still Zenith. Leong took on the newly-created role of growth officer for media in Malaysia in 2017. He was was previously in the role of managing partner for Arc Worldwide, brings over 20 years of experience in communications to oversee the media agency brands including Starcom, Blue 449, Spark Foundry and Performics under Publicis One umbrella in Malaysia.
