Fashion and lifestyle eCommerce platform ZALORA has taken things offline for the recent 11.11 sale by painting the town red. Over the week, people dressed in bright red spandex took to the streets of Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to promote its deals.

In Singapore, people in red spandex walked around iconic locations such as Orchard Road, the Merlion, Raffles Place and more with red trolly carts and boxes that read "Shop more. Save more".

In a video posted on its social media channels, many pedestrians could be seen taking photos and filming the activation.

"Spot the flash of red yesterday? It was us. Our squad took over iconic spots, turning heads and dropping jaws everywhere. We painted the town red with the energy of our epic 11.11 deals," wrote ZALORA in its caption.

Across the border in Kuala Lumpur, the same troop walked the streets near the Petronas Towers, Putri Heights, in the shopping districts and in the train stations.

"The trolleys may have rolled by, but the real deal is rolling out. Get ready to shop more, save more this 11.11. Start filling up those carts now," it wrote in the caption.

This comes shortly after ZALORA launched a new AI-powered customer service chatbot, designed to provide personalised support to customers across Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The chatbot leverages AI that is programmed to learn and understand the intent behind customer inquiries, to provide relevant, accurate responses in a highly intuitive and visual format.

For simple queries, it leverages generative AI and draws from an ever-growing comprehensive knowledge base of FAQs, while for more complex questions, it utilises natural language processing to grasp the customers’ intentions before providing useful answers, said ZALORA in a statement.

The chatbot can adapt and respond to any language communicated with it, for instance, an entire conversation can be started in English and ended in Mandarin or any of the local languages seamlessly.
