Zalora screams out for creativity

Zalora Malaysia has taken its TVC to the next level in running a contest for fans to create a parody of it.

The contest comes on the back of a ‘Kelate’ version Zalora TVC parody created and posted on YouTube by a Kelantanese boy.

Taking that as inspiration, Zalora is calling out to fans through its Facebook and Twitter pages and its blog site to create a self-video scripted about their obsession with Zalora, adding the scream element at the end.

“When we first released the TVC and saw the Kelate version parody, we thought it was great fun. We found that a lot of people thought it was one that was easy to remember and relate to. So we decided to create this contest from there, to thank consumers and give back to them,” said Ooi See Bee, media relations manager, Zalora Malaysia.

Once the video is created, consumers are required to upload the video on YouTube or embed it into their own blogs, tagging @Zalora Malaysia.

The contest, extended till the first week of November, will see winners and submissions receive gift cards and cash vouchers.
