yuu wants to turn your rewards into a personality

Loyalty platform yuu is putting a more personal face to rewards, using AI to turn members’ everyday aspirations, passions and moments into personalised digital identities.
The experience, developed with dentsu Hong Kong, forms the first major activation under yuu’s refreshed brand platform, "Rewards for every yuu", as the loyalty platform looks to shift the conversation around rewards beyond points and transactions.
Called "yuu-moji", the activation invites members to turn aspects of their everyday lives into personalised digital expressions, with AI helping translate their individual interests and aspirations into unique identities.
The idea is to make rewards feel less like something members accumulate and more like something that reflects what they enjoy and what those rewards can enable in their everyday lives.

May May Wong, head of marketing, yuu Rewards, said the activation is intended to make the brand feel more personal by celebrating the “aspirations, passions and moments” that make each member unique.
The idea also marks a shift in how yuu approaches loyalty, moving away from a focus on points and transactions towards the role rewards can play in members’ everyday lives.
"As yuu continues to evolve, our ambition is to create a brand that feels as personal as the lives of our members. yuu-moji brings our refreshed promise, 'Rewards for every yuu,' to life by celebrating the different aspirations, passions and moments that make each person unique. By combining creativity, technology and self-expression, we're creating a more meaningful connection between rewards and everyday life,” said Wong.
For Anna Wong, chief growth officer at Dentsu Creative Hong Kong, that meant putting identity at the centre of the experience. Rather than simply encouraging members to earn more points, yuu-moji aims to help them recognise what those rewards can unlock, with AI turning everyday moments into personal expressions.
"Loyalty programmes have traditionally focused on transactions. We saw an opportunity to focus on identity instead. The challenge wasn't getting people to earn more points. It was helping them recognise the value behind those points. yuu-moji turns members into the face of the brand, using AI to transform everyday moments into personal expressions of what rewards can unlock," she said.
"It's a shift from collecting points to celebrating possibilities,” she added.

Don't miss: Octopus launches upgraded ‘Dood Rewards’ platform
The activation comes as loyalty platforms increasingly look beyond points and discounts to build more integrated relationships with customers. Last month, Octopus unveiled its upgraded, all-in-one rewards platform, "Dood Rewards," aiming to seamlessly integrate digital perks into customers' everyday spending journeys across Hong Kong.
Built around the proposition “Earn on every tap, everyday rewards superpower,” the enhanced platform is rolling out a series of promotional activations featuring more than 3.5 million flash coupons to elevate the user experience.
Meanwhile, New World Development's K11 launched a comprehensive upgrade to its KLUB 11 loyalty programme in July, rolling out a new platinum card tier and exclusive privileges to elevate the premium experience. Effective 1 September, the revamped KLUB 11 loyalty programme has introduced a new platinum card membership tier, higher K Dollar earn rates for black card members on every purchase, and elevated exclusive member privileges.
