Ying Communications names new general manager

Ying Communications, an integrated B2B communications agency, has appointed John Yan its general manager for Ying Marketing, the business unit that provides marketing planning, campaign development and communications execution for its clients.The company also announced the promotion of Shuchi Joseph from senior account manager to account director, Ying PR. She continues to report to Naeema Ismail, General Manager, Ying PR.Ying Communications – which comprises of Ying PR and Ying Marketing – was founded in 2001 by Allan Tan and Yeap Yin Ching, a husband-and-wife team with combined marketing and PR expertise gained from in-house roles at Singapore Airlines, IBM and Shell Eastern Petroleum.Today, Ying Communications has a team of 35, providing integrated B2B communications services to companies in highly technical industries such as Airbus, Cargill, Cisco Systems, Citrix, Exxon Mobil, IBM, Microsoft, Red Hat, Symantec, Shell, Tableau Software among others.Yan joined Ying– the holding company for Ying Communications and True Worth Consultants – in January 2014 as the company’s chief operating officer. He retains this role moving forward.He was previously the General Manager of The Events Company in Singapore, as well as the CFO of MTV Asia.“John has been working with us as our Chief Operating Officer for almost two years now, helping us improve both our financial management and operational discipline. His ability to penetrate complex industry issues and get to the crux of the matter has enabled him to develop strategically sound solutions for our clients. We believe that John will provide the strong leadership that we need to bring Ying Marketing to the next stage of our growth,” Allan Tan, managing director of Ying Communications, said.
