YELLO Hotels banks big on digital as it eyes growth

YELLO Hotels, the netizen’s new midscale hotel, has plans to open a new location in Manado. The travelling trend in Indonesia is increasing every year by leaps and bound and has become a new phenomenon.

According to Google Indonesia1, by 2025 Indonesia will be the biggest online travel market in Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN) . YELLO Hotels as a tech-savvy brand is rapidly enlarging its portfolio as well to anticipate the booming trend. This year alone, YELLO Hotels has signed five new hotels across Indonesia to complete its network of 19 hotels.

In a statement to marketing, a spokesperson from the hotel said its strategy is consistently focusing on brand activation. “We will be bringing urban art to Manado and the signature Off Da Wall event  to identify local talents and bring it forward in the competition. We aim to be a creative and social place in addition of as hotel,” she said.

She added that the digital platform will be the main channel to communicate and promote given that social media, in terms of number of user in Indonesia, is quite significant.

“YELLO Hotel Manado will not just be a place for business meetings and leisure stay for travellers, but a place where people can visit and socialize in a space with creative ambiance of street art and tech-savvy environment,” said Josephine Balie, the newly appointed YELLO Hotels Brand Manager.

The rooms are a mix of modern design, all the needs of digital modernity, spacious beds and high speed wi-fi. Guests will be able to unwind at an all-day dining restaurant, trendy rooftop bar and a spacious lobby set aside for collaboration.

In this area, travellers will have room to gather, create or simply hang out. TAUZIA Hotels created YELLO Hotels five years ago with an inaugural location in Surabaya. Since then the brand has expanded to Jakarta and Bandung. The company announced plans to open in Kupang, Bali, Riau, Medan, Malang and many other cities all over Indonesia by 2023.
